April, in my house, doesn’t begin with fresh plans.
It begins with school alarms, slightly rushed mornings, and me standing in the kitchen wondering how life got unorganised again… so quietly.
The house isn’t messy-messy.
Life isn’t off track-off track.
But there’s that subtle feeling.. like things could be better.
Not perfect. Just… smoother.Just focusing on being a little more productive every day.

🌼 The 70% Productive Rule
I’ve stopped expecting perfect days.
Because the moment I aim for 100%, I end up doing nothing.
So this April, I’m sticking to 70% productivity.
If I manage my home a bit, take care of my health, and don’t completely ignore myself.. that’s a good day.
Simple. Real. Repeatable.

✨ The 1-1-1 Rule (In Real Life)
This is what keeps my days from slipping again.
Every day, just three things:
🏠 1 Thing for Home
Not deep cleaning.
Just one small reset:
clearing a corner folding a pile organising one drawer
🥗 1 Thing for Health
This is where I’m being a little more intentional now:
1 hour gym in the morning (even if it’s slow, I show up) 1 hour walk at night (no rush, just movement and fresh air)
Some days it flows. Some days it doesn’t. But I still try.
🌿 1 Thing for Myself
This one has quietly become my favourite.
reading novels or books sitting with chai for a few minutes doing absolutely nothing without guilt
Lately, it’s mostly been reading…

📚 A Routine I Didn’t Plan
My son has suddenly developed a 100000% interest in reading books.
And now, without planning it, we sit together and read.
No targets. No pressure.
Just the two of us, quietly turning pages.
And somehow, this feels like the most productive part of my day.

🚗 Small Wins That Feel Big
I’ve also started driving my own car again.
Reversing and parking still make me pause.. it’s not smooth, not confident yet.
But I’m on the road.
And right now, that matters more than doing it perfectly.

🌅 Productive Mornings, Slower Afternoons
Morning walks have paused.
School is back after spring break, mornings are fuller, and life looks different.
So instead of forcing old routines, I’ve shifted.
Mornings are for:
gym.. finishing a few important things getting ahead just a little
And afternoons?
I let them slow down.
Because when mornings are used well, the rest of the day doesn’t feel heavy.
✅ 10 Things I’m Actually Doing This April
Nothing fancy. Just things that work:
Finish 3 small tasks before noon
Go for a 1-hour gym session in the morning
Take a 1-hour walk at night
Read a few pages of a book daily
Eat one proper home-cooked meal
Spend 10 minutes organising one small space
Drink water before tea or coffee
Step outside for fresh air
Sit without my phone for 10 minutes
Prepare one small thing for the next day
🌿 What This Looks Like in Real Life
Not perfect routines.
Not overly disciplined days.
Just:
showing up doing a little adjusting when life changes and not giving up halfway
Productivity doesn’t have to feel heavy.
Sometimes it’s just:
going to the gym, taking that walk, reading a few pages, and ending the day a little better than it started.
And honestly.. that’s enough.
Happy April, stay cozy, stay productive, and don’t forget to sneak in a little reading with your kids (it’s magic, I swear).
